“To sing on the stage, that's the one life for me!”

In “Art is Calling for Me,” from Victor Herbert’s The Enchantress, Princess Stellina declares “To sing on the stage, that's the one life for me!” Oh yes, I agree!!!! It’s just one of the many reasons I love performing this song so much!

What an honor and a joy it was to be a part of the 2023 Keith B. Moore Classical Singers Recital yesterday in the beautiful McAfee Concert Hall on Belmont University’s Nashville campus. I shared the stage with some amazingly talented vocalists, all selected by a panel of outside adjudicators to represent the strongest performers in the classical voice program. Accompanied by Dr. Charlene Harb on piano, I sang “Ach ich fühl's” from Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte, and “Art is Calling for Me” from Herbert’s The Enchantress - two very different pieces!
